Procrastination
For those of you who asked, I work at a stable about 10 minutes from our house. You wouldn't believe how much physical work it is. And I've now got killer arms because of it. Don't mess with me.
I've also got a mild case of shin-splints. On Saturday I decided to take a walk, and just explore the area a bit more. It was a gorgeous day, there was a lovely breeze, the scenery was nice, and I was having a wonderful time. After walking for a little bit, I came into a town. My first thought was, "Oh, I made it to Purceville" - which is the next town over ... a 5 minute drive from our house. But as I'm walking through this little town, I kept seeing the word Lincoln pop up over and over again. Lincoln Post Office, Lincoln Bookstore, etc. I didn't put two and two together until I came to Lincoln Elementary School. Only then did I realize I was in a completely different town. That's when I decided I'd better turn around and walk back, as I had no idea where I was.
After arriving back home (I had only been gone two hours, so mom wasn't mad or anything), I looked to see where exactly Lincoln is. It's actually the town after Purceville - so about a 10 minute drive. All in all, I probably walked a good 8 miles on Saturday, and am now paying the price.
And now I must return to the never ending pile of schoolwork that awaits me.
